There is a place in the world of Post Scriptum, where various life forms weren’t totally destroyed during the massive catastrophes of the apocalypse. This location is Parma, and it lays around the town with the same name – or rather around its ruins.
We are glad to share with you, guys, some interesting information about our virtual Parma – this is another glimpse at the upcoming role-playing game. Also, you can check out this description of the whole Post Scriptum world.
Survive the disaster
Terrible destructions swept the whole planet, changing almost everything on the Earth of Post Scriptum. It was almost impossible to hide and survive. For people, animals, and plants, their location at the moment of the apocalypse was crucial. Parma turned out to be one of a few relatively safe places.
The town and its surroundings were separated from the disaster epicenter by a mountain range. This decreased the destructive power significantly, so the location of Parma still has a dense forest with some animals and a small settlement with survived humans. Here are sketches of the Parma location, revealed in the Paracosm Digest #2:
A walk to the town
If you enter the game from the southern part of the Parma location, you will have not so many choices of the further ways – impassable mountains block the way south, and the very landscape calls to move down, to the north.
Almost everything is dead here – but in a weird way. It seems like this forest held its breath right before the tragedy, and it never started breathing again. There are no sounds around, no movements. Even light wind blows don’t disturb the surrounding stillness. Maybe a thin mystical layer has covered every branch here, every leaf – to not save the life but to prevent decay.
Walking through the forest ends with a dry moat; It was a part of protection for the town, but now the water is so rare that you can’t find it in such amounts. Even the river that divided Parma onto two parts is dry now, so it’s rather like a scar across the ruins.
Grass covers meadows around the town of Parma. It’s the first sign of life here. Could something of that sort be found in almost completely destroyed buildings? Let’s step in and figure it out!
In the town
A powerful earthquake shook the world during the apocalypse. It left the town of Parma in a pitiful state. Take a look at some buildings of Parma. These sketches are from the Paracosm Digest #3.
By delving into the ruins, explorers may find some constructions, suitable for living. The human inhabitants of Parma hide there from many dangers of the outer world. They use animal skin to cover up holes in walls. They drag various building parts to strengthen their weak houses.
Eastern and western forests
In the Parma location, trees have found their way to live in the harsh post-apocalyptic environment. Plants support each other in forests, they help various animals to survive.
The eastern forest is a living place. Brave people can hunt here, hoping to catch a deer or boar. These hunters may become a prey themselves – bloodthirsty predators lurk around the forest, searching for food.
Post Scriptum hunters may look like people on the following sketch:
The western forest is rather small. Some unknown territories lay behind them, as well as behind northern fields.
Parma itself is not absolutely explored. Who knows what can be discovered here by game adventurers!
