Quality standards in modern gaming have reached quite a high level – the community of players is very demanded to scales of virtual worlds, visual effects, and various little details of gameplay mechanics. To follow these standards and to implement the innovative ideas of our Post Scriptum MMORPG, we made a decision to take enough time for the development process. We act according to that plan, preparing alpha-version for the end of 2019.
Still, we won’t leave you, guys, without Post Scriptum games till that time. We feel your sincere interest in this post-apocalyptic world, and to satisfy it, we are going to release a collectible token game, based on the Post Scriptum paracosm. It will be an excellent way to get acquainted with characters from this franchise, to start your asset collection in the distributed registry of Tangle, and of course, to enjoy the trend of games with collectible items.
Tokens = Post Scriptum creatures
In the CTG of Post Scriptum, players have an army of virtual creatures that fight each other on the game board. These creatures represent inhabitants of the Post Scriptum world, and they are implemented for this game as playing pieces.
There are powerful hero tokens, and players can take only one such character to their game. The other pieces in the stack are of supportive units. The entity tokens make up the primary power of the players’ army. They enter the board and start battles with opponents to reach the hero and destroy it – this is the victory condition in matches of Post Scriptum CTG. Please, check out the gameplay basics in the article “CTG of Post Scriptum: Preview”.
Playing individual matches is just part of the whole experience in this game. Victories will allow players to expand their collection of virtual tokens. Better balanced playing stacks will open doors to new victories. Playing process in Post Scriptum CTG is a multilayered excitement, where even defeats are helpful because they give precious knowledge and experience.
All the data flow, created by players activity in Post Scriptum CTG is written in the distributed registry of Tangle. This is an effective method to protect the match history and proof ownership rights for valuable tokens. The Caer Sidi service will allow secure token exchange and the possibility to trade them on the open marketplace. Thus, the time and energy invested in the game will not disappear with no traces. It can be transformed into real-world values or transferred to other game worlds on the Paracosm platform.
Along with a digital version of Post Scriptum CTG, we are going to release a real-world game. The tangible tokens will carry the Cross-Reality feature – they will keep the same information as their virtual analogs do, and the playing process in reality will affect somehow the situation in virtuality.
The whole Paracosm platform is dedicated to such exciting technical innovations in gaming. Read more on the topic in the article “VR, AR, and Cross-Reality on the Paracosm Platform”.
From CTG to MMORPG
Connections between the token and role-playing games are not limited to the common lore and the same characters. By playing the CTG and gaining experience in it, you will be able to get something valuable in the upcoming MMORPG with survival elements – to delve into it with some starting potential. The mechanism of getting tools or weapons in the role-playing game for your achievements from the collectible token game is in development, so we can’t reveal any specific details right now. We invite you to check out the further publications on our site to get new information in time.
The closed alpha-testing of Post Scriptum CTG started in April, and the feedback of Paracosm Ambassadors is taken into account and implemented in alpha-builds.
Assets for this game are already available on Caer Sidi Sale. Consider getting Booster Packs with seven random tokens each. Such purchases can significantly improve your collection even before the beta release of the game.
